acrylamide (thanks red)

Red, sent me a couple very nice emails, one of which included this link.

For those of you too lazy to read an entire article, its main point is that frying or baking some foods at high temperatures (175 degrees celcius, or roughly 350 degrees fahrenheit) creates a chemical called “acrylamide” which has been proven to lead to cancer.

The problem of course, is that since fast food companies have some of the highest paid lobbiests in america, we won’t likely hear about it until roughly 2050. If at all.

So. keep in mind that if you are eating french fries, you are ingesting a chemical that has been proven to cause cancer.

Here is a fairly large list of food that could be giving you a fun surprise toy you didn’t know about.

More lists (and for different countries) can be found here.

I myself am going to start eating nothing but lettuce and my own sweet sweet urine.
