I've been trying to convince Turk to watch "man on fire" because its a great movie, and he had NEVER SEEN IT. Which shocked me a little bit. I mean, it wasn't the biggest movie of that year but it was a pretty popular one I thought. Anyhoo, I thought it would be interesting to list off your top 10 favorite movies. I'm curious as to what we'll end up with, if there will be any common denominators. I'm guessing V or Unbreakable will make everyone's list, but who knows. Originally I was going to say R2tH wasn't allowed to post, but in the interests of SCIENCE, I guess that wouldn't be fair. Anyway, here are mine:
Note that The Usual Suspects and Shawshank actually vie for #1 and are both equally as good, imo. |

This is not as easy as it sounds. I might have to split this off as my top 10 horror, drama, comedy, etc. But here's the list as I can think of it right now:

This is too hard. I recommend "Top 10 of [Genre]" lists instead. Easier for me at least - there are a TON of films I consider "must watch". |

Indeed. It was just a good straight-forward thriller/drama. It's like a comic book superhero movie for adults. I am also totally impressed by the camerawork and great lighting effects in the film, making the action on screen look as if it were from the pages of a comic book, yet real enough to be an "adult" drama.
Yeah, limiting to 10 was just too difficult. I'm still thinking of movies that should be in my top 10, but what do I do with the others??? |
